Our organisation is committed to keeping children healthy and safe. We may share information with appropriate agencies (such as health and education providers or other agencies involved in your child’s life) if sharing that information will protect or improve the safety, health or wellbeing of a child. Our agency by law can always share information with Oranga Tamariki and the police. Further information can be found on our Child Protection Policy.
Whānau Ora Community Support
- All age service
- Adults (over 18) must have a mental health diagnosis
- Referrals are accepted from Health Professionals and Self/Whānau
- There may be a waiting list for this service
Referrals are triaged weekly. When we receive a referral, the client and referrer will be advised of the outcome of the referral within 10 working days by letter. If the referral has been accepted the client will also be contacted by their preferred contact method to arrange a first meeting.
Oranga Day Activities
Clients must have an assigned community support worker, peer support worker or equivalent from one the listed organisations to attend day activities.

Clients must have a meet and greet with programmes coordinator prior to attending day activities.
Referrals are accepted from Health Professionals and Self/Whānau.
Activities for all ages.
Spaces may be limited.
The referrer will be contacted by the coordinator within 10 working days to organise a brief meeting with both the worker and client. The reasoning for the meeting is to discuss the programmes, answer any questions regarding the programmes and allows the client and programme coordinator to become familiar with each other. The worker may also raise any concerns or risk they have with their client participating in the programmes. Following the meeting the client will be added to a text list where they will receive text reminders of all the programmes that are open for attendance.
- Referrals are accepted from professionals
- Youth aged 13-18 years with mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues
- Referrals are triaged weekly
